A perfect house near the perfect golf course. A couple with numerous antiques. A love for Swedish and French painted furniture, and open airy spaces. To transform the existing dark rooms, we dropped in skylights and installed light, bleached flooring. We created an elegant lower level by removing dark, dreary panelling. Lightness!

The clients were inspired by the antiques and patina-rich interiors of Provence. Stairs are bleached, stained, and limed. Muted grey and blue fabrics are used on the reverse to give a faded elegance. Subtle details create a washed-out luxury and feeling of history.
